Introduction
Facephi Authentication is a biometric cybersecurity solution that allows a user to be authenticated. The Flow consists of registering face and/or voice biometrics, and carrying out a transfer by authenticating the user with the biometrics already registered. As a result, the transfer is completed.
Requirements and installation
To be able to use Facephi Authentication, you must have a compatible browser on your device, whether on a desktop computer or a mobile device. The compatible operating systems and browsers are:
Windows, macOS, Android, iOS.
Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari.
Log in
To log in, enter your email (2) and password (3). By clicking the icon (4), you can show/hide your password. Once you have entered the data, press the button (5) to move to the next screen.
If you have not entered your data correctly, an alert message will appear below each of the fields (2) and (3).


You can change the language from the drop-down menu (1). The available languages are: Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

Hyperlink to switch to another device
If you are on a computer and want to do the process on a mobile phone, click the hyperlink (6) and a screen with a QR code will appear, which you will have to scan with your device's camera.
Access with QR

If you are on a computer, this screen lets you enter the web address from a mobile device. To enter, you have to scan the QR code that appears on the screen (3) with your device.
If you want to go back to the login screen, you can press the button (2).

General Data Protection Regulation
After logging in, if this is the first time you access it or if you have recently cleared your device's cache, the General Data Protection Regulation appears.

To accept the GDPR, press the button (3). It will be disabled until you have read all the content. To do this, scroll down the scroll bar (2) to the end. Once the button (3) is enabled, you will be able to accept the GDPR and continue with the process.
If you want to decline the GDPR, press the button (4).

If the GDPR is declined, a confirmation pop-up window appears. Declining it will also close your current session.
To confirm that you want to decline the GDPR, press the button (2).
To cancel and go back to the previous screen to accept the GDPR, press the button (3) or the close icon (1).

Username selection

After accepting the GDPR, if this is the first time you access it or if you have recently cleared your device's cache, this screen appears where you must enter your first name (3) and last name (4). Once you have entered the data, press the button (5) to move to the next screen.
If you have not entered your data, an alert message will appear below each of the fields (3) and (4).
If you want to log out, press the icon (2).

Pre-start errors

If, when starting the process, camera permissions are detected as not enabled, this message will be shown.
To continue, enabling camera permissions is mandatory.
Once enabled, it is necessary to reload the page to restart the process.

If, when starting the process, a camera problem is detected that prevents access to it, you will be asked to try the process from another device.
This step is mandatory, since without camera access it is not possible to continue.

To capture the face, a tutorial first appears explaining how to perform the capture.
The animation shows how to interact with the widget. The text gives details on how to perform this step correctly.
To start the process, press the button (3). To configure the available biometrics, press the icon (2) if it is enabled. To log out, press the icon (1).

After the tutorial, a message appears requesting the necessary permissions to carry out the process.
To continue, press button (1). To cancel the permission and not continue, press button (2).

Once the process starts, a text (4) appears giving you instructions on how to position yourself, or what you need to keep in mind.
This message updates in real time, and will give you details about:
Distance: close, far.
Framing: outside the circle, rotated.
Movement.
Lighting.
If the proper conditions are met, the capture will happen automatically and you will be taken to the next step.

Help message

When your position and the conditions are correct, the circle (4) changes shape and color. If you are not positioned correctly, it will return to the previous state with help messages.

When registering voice biometrics for the first time, it is necessary to select the phrase you will use to identify yourself by voice.
Choose a default phrase by pressing one of the circular buttons (4). If you want to create a custom phrase, press the last option and add your phrase in the text field (5). If you have not entered your data correctly, an alert message will appear below the field (5). When you have selected the phrase, press the button (6) to continue.
If you want to close the voice registration process, click the icon (3).

Speak loudly and clearly. The text (6) and the animation change state depending on errors, recording processing, or successful voice registration.
If the recording is correct, the number in the counter shown in (4) will increase.

The timeout for the Widget to perform the capture has been exceeded. Once the process starts, you have X seconds to complete the corresponding step. If not, this message will appear so you can try again.
By clicking the icon (3), you return to the Widget to retry this step.

Microphone permissions

The application is trying to access the microphone, but permissions are blocked. To continue, you must enable this permission.
By pressing icon (1) you will close this window. Accept the microphone permissions in your browser or device, and try this step again.

Private account

Here you will see the details of your private account. You can configure and add new biometrics by clicking the Settings icon (2).
On the Logout icon (1), your session will be closed and you will be directed to the login screen.
From your private account, you can check data or make a transfer by pressing the button (3).

From Settings you can enable/disable the biometrics that Facephi Authentication has available. In this version, facial biometrics (6) and voice biometrics (7) are implemented.
You can also change your first name (4) and last name (5) once you have entered the data.
If you have not entered your data, an alert message will appear below each of the fields (4) and (5).
If you activate a biometric that is not yet registered, the registration flow for that biometric will start.
On this screen you can also change the voice biometrics phrase by pressing one of the circular buttons (8).
If you want to go back, use the icon (3).

Log out

You can log out at any time from the Logout icon in the top bar. When you click it, a notice opens in which you will have to confirm whether to log out (2) or cancel the action (1), (3).

Make a transfer
Form

To make a transfer, you must fill in the data. Indicate the concept in the text field (3), and the recipient in the text field (4). You must also enter the account number in the text field (5) and indicate the amount in the text field (6).
If all the data is correct, continue the process by pressing the button (7).
If, on the contrary, you want to go back, cancel the operation by pressing the button (8).

Biometric request

Choose the biometric with which to validate your identity, either face (3) or voice (4).
You can register more biometrics to validate your identity from the Settings menu (2).

If the transfer is completed successfully, this success message appears with a summary of the transfer. Pressing the button (3) will redirect you to your account.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I activate more biometrics once registered?
Yes, in the configuration section you can activate another biometric.
What should I do if I have rejected the camera or microphone permissions?
You have to go to your device and/or browser settings and accept the permissions. Once enabled, reload the page to start the process again.
What happens if I run out of funds?
Nothing, since it is a demo you can keep making transfers.
My camera is broken, how can I make a transfer?
You will need to activate another biometric in order to make the transfer or use another device.
I can't take a selfie. What should I do?
Check that the lighting is correct and that the face is visible without shadows.
Use a plain background so the image stands out.
Make sure the face is centered and inside the circle.
