# Identity API

**Identity API** is Facephi's solution that enables **remote verification and authentication of a person's identity**, combining facial biometrics, document validation, and anti-fraud mechanisms.

It is designed to integrate easily into digital flows for **Onboarding**, **authentication** and **Identity Verification**, while meeting high standards for security and user experience.

#### What is it for?

Identity API allows applications to:

* Verify a user's identity based on their Identity document.
* Authenticate a person using facial biometrics.
* Detect fraud attempts (impersonation, presentation attacks, suspicious retries, etc.).
* Automate user registration, access, or validation processes in digital environments.

All of this through a **Rest API**, designed for integrators and developers.

#### How is the solution structured?

At a high level, Identity API is organized into different **services and endpoints** that cover:

* Onboarding and Identity Verification
* Biometric authentication
* Document validation
* Anti-fraud controls and diagnostics

#### API Reference

The technical details of each Endpoint, parameters, and responses can be found in the section **API Reference**.
