# Biometric Services

Shared biometric components of **Identity Platform** that can be used in both flows of **Onboarding** as well as **authentication**. These services allow facial verifications and liveness checks to be performed independently.

#### Available services

* **Facial Authentication**: Performs facial validation between two faces, supporting open images, biometric templates, and identity document photos (TokenFaceImage).
* **Evaluate Passive Liveness**: Performs a liveness check using the user's provided selfie image.
* **Evaluate Passive Liveness Token**: Performs a liveness verification using the best tokenized image obtained during selfie capture, through the native function of the Selphi Widget.
