# minCaptureTime

Minimum capture duration in seconds.

## Details

**Attribute:** `min-capture-time`

**Type:** `number`

**Default value:** `0`

## Morphology

```typescript
selphi.minCaptureTime = 5;
```

## Description

Minimum duration in seconds of the capture in `facephi-selphi-widget`. If the capture ends before that minimum, the widget delays the successful capture event and its closure until that is met, transparently to the user.

### Considerations

The minimum is counted from the start of the capture, which is also the instant when recording starts when `videoRecord` is active, so that the resulting recording lasts at least that long.

With `videoRecord` When disabled, the property still delays the successful capture event and the widget closure. This is the expected behavior when session recording is managed outside of Selphi.

If the user changes camera during the capture, the local recording is split into several files. The minimum applies to the recording as a whole, not to each file separately.

With the value `0`, or if the property is not defined, the behavior does not change from the current one.

## Example

<facephi-selphi-widget
    minCaptureTime={5}
/>
```
