# expectedSides

## Details

**Attribute:** `expected-sides`

**Type:** `ExpectedSides`

**Default value:** `ExpectedSides.Auto`

### ExpectedSides

| Member       | Value | Description                               |
| ------------ | ----- | ----------------------------------------- |
| `SingleSide` | `0`   | A single side.                            |
| `Auto`       | `1`   | Automatic side detection (default value). |

## Morphology

```typescript
import { ExpectedSides } from '@facephi/selphid-web-component';

selphid.expectedSides = ExpectedSides.Auto;
```

## Description

Indicates whether `facephi-selphid-widget` it should capture a single side or automatically detect the back side when present.

### Additional information

**Compatibility:** Replaces `documentMode` in previous versions of the SDK Web.
